Acupuncture is one facet of the broader system of Chinese medicine, which includes both physical therapies—like massage, cupping, and moxibustion—and internal medicine, such as individualized herbal formulas designed to rebalance the body’s functions.

At the heart of Chinese medicine is the understanding that, in addition to the body systems recognized by Western medicine, there is an additional network called the meridian system. This system consists of 12 major pathways, or meridians, through which Qi (electromagnetic energy), blood, and body fluids flow. Each meridian has specific functions, and when the flow or balance of resources is disrupted, unwanted symptoms can appear.

Acupuncture works by carefully selecting points along the affected meridians to help restore balance, regulate the nervous system, relieve pain, and support overall healing. During a session, thin needles are placed along these points and left in place for 15–25 minutes while the body relaxes. Additional supportive modalities, such as massage, cupping, or moxibustion, may be incorporated to enhance the treatment.

Acupuncture is highly versatile and can help with a wide range of conditions, including anxiety, sleep disturbances, headaches, chronic or acute pain, injury recovery, digestive issues, menstrual and menopausal symptoms, and immune system regulation, supporting both physical and emotional well-being.

Massage Therapy

Blending clinical skill with intuitive touch, this session supports your body’s natural ability to heal. With two decades of experience in pain management and rehabilitation, treatments focus on easing chronic tension, improving mobility, and calming the nervous system for lasting relief and renewal.

Born and raised in Northern California, I moved to Seattle in 2003 in search of cooler, more mountainous horizons. I became a licensed Massage Therapist in 2004 and began my career in Bellevue, where our collective focused on injury treatment and rehabilitation.

My desire to deepen my understanding of holistic healing led me to Bastyr University, where I earned my Master’s degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine in 2013.

Since then, I’ve maintained a thriving Acupuncture and Massage Therapy practice in West Seattle, and more recently, my search for peace and balance has brought me to beautiful Vashon Island.

With over 20 years of experience, I am deeply dedicated to helping people heal on both physical and emotional levels. My work integrates Chinese medicine, massage therapy, and stress management coaching, using mindfulness-based tools to regulate the nervous system and support lasting change.

Drawing from both professional training and personal meditation practice, I help clients identify and transform the effects of stress and self-limiting beliefs, fostering true healing, balance, and resilience.
